
Dennis Hollingsworth is the Senator for the 36th District of California,
which includes portions of San Diego and Riverside counties.
Hollingsworth was elected to the California State Senate in November
of 2002, after serving one term as the Assemblyman for the 66th District.
As one of the legislature’s leading fiscal conservatives, he
has been unwavering in his call to cut waste and inefficiency from
government.
Hollingsworth is the California State Public Sector Chairman of the
American Legislative Exchange Council (ALEC), the largest national
organization of conservative state lawmakers.
He also serves on the Proposition 22 Legal Defense Fund, to uphold
marriage as between one man and one woman.
Before joining the California legislature, Dennis Hollingsworth served
as the Legislative Director for the Riverside County Farm Bureau,
where his work on behalf of land owners made him a nationally recognized
leader defending private property rights.
As an avid hunter and conservationist, Hollingsworth is also past
chairman of the state organization of Quail Unlimited, Inc.
Dennis Hollingsworth attended Cal Poly State University, San Luis
Obispo and Cornell University, where he studied Dairy Science, Agricultural
Management and International Relations.
Dennis and Natalie Hollingsworth currently reside in Murrieta, with
their two sons and daughter.
